Doctoral studies at the Faculty of Modern Languages are possible in various subjects and topic areas.
During your studies you will be supported administratively by the Office for Doctoral Studies. Financial support at various stages of your doctorate can be obtained through the University’s heiDocs funding programme. O
If you are interested in pursuing a doctoral degree at our Faculty, please note that you must first find a supervisor and only then apply to the Faculty of Modern Languages. The exact procedure of the application process is described on the “Doctoral Degree Procedure” page. The Faculty awards the title of Dr. phil. to doctoral students who successfully complete their degrees.
